Get ready – Idaho’s Cowgirl Rendezvous is returning for a 2nd go-round this September, so pack up the trailers and join us in sunny Cabo San Lewiston, Idaho for a full weekend of  good fun and girl time!

This is going to be one wild weekend!  Join Julie at Hells Gate State Park in Lewiston, Idaho for four days of outdoor cowgirl sisterhood that includes rodeo, shopping, dining, dancing, hiking, tours and anything else we can dream up together … PLUS – shuttle bus service is included!

“I can’t wait to share my part of Idaho with all these fantastic women,” says Julie Pierce.  “I’m really excited to include everyone.  Vintage trailers are a lot of fun but not required – the park has some cute cabins or tent and RV spaces and a great list of hotels is available from Hells Canyon Visitor Bureau.  Everyone is welcome!”

Wednesday, September 4, 2013 opens Cowgirl Rendezvous base camp at Birch Loop in Hells Gate State Park again this year; check-in starts at 2pm. Once your trailer, tent or RV Space is ready for the weekend you have the day to explore the Lewis-Clark Valley on your own. Inside the park, you can explore the Lewis & Clark Discovery Center, the Jack 0′Connor Hunting Heritage and Education Center, and some trail heads for hiking. Outside the park, interesting attractions in the Lewis-Clark Valley include the Nez Perce National Historical Park Idaho History Tours, wine tasting at Basalt Cellars … other options for sightseeing, museums, shopping, golf, beer tasting and more can be found online at Hells Canyon Visitor Bureau. Later that night, we can meet for a no-host dinner at a restaurant in town or you can find a spot to try on our own.

Thursday, September 5, 2013 starts with breakfast on your own. Next, we meet up with Captain Mark Heuett for a private, scenic jet boat tour into North America’s deepest gorge – Hells Canyon; we had so much fun last year and had so many requests for a longer tour that we’ve made this a full day tour! Heading up the Snake River, you’ll hear stories of the native and pioneering people who have lived the canyon, visit many historic sights – even swim a bit to cool off;  a stop at Garden Creek and lunch at Cache Creek is included.  Remember the camera on this trip – sightings of wildlife including deer, sheep, bear, eagles, hawks, quail and cougar are common.

lewiston_roundup_logo_lewiston_idahoFriday, September 6, 2013 begins with breakfast on your own and tentatively includes an archery competition with targets, equipment and instruction provided by Hells Canyon Archers. There’s lunch on your own and time for shopping or just relaxing in the shade of base camp with the girls. Then … hold on to your hats because we’re going where it’s all about the rodeo at the  79th Annual LewistonRoundup where “We Give It To You Western!” It’s Tough Enough To Wear Pink  Night  so be sure to pack your finest pink cowgirl gear to show your support for breast cancer charities. And don’t miss the live music and action in the She’s Wild Saloon. This’ll be a good time!

Saturday, September 7, 2013 dawns with breakfast on your own before we hitch up the vintage trailers and get ourselves pretty for an appearance in front of 3000 to 4000 adoring fans at the 79th Annual Lewston Roundup Parade – this year’s theme is “Ride ‘em High, Rope ‘em Low and Round ‘em Up!”

After the parade, we’ll bring the trailers back to base camp for Happy Hour  before enjoying a catered dinner from Chef Magen Goforth from Simple Eats Catering. Later on, we’ll settle in around the campfires with live music from Shayne and Alane Watkins of BEARGRASS. If you’re not able to make the whole Rendezvous, come on out to share this night of fun with us for $20; register for Saturday Dinner and Live Music Only before September 5.

All good things must end. On Sunday, September 8th we meet for a hosted breakfast before breaking Idaho Cowgirl Rendezvous base camp for another year. Keeping in touch until 2015 will be easy though, because we’ve got an Idaho Cowgirl Rendezvous Facebook Page all ready where you can share pictures, memories, even ideas for the 2015 event!

What is the date in 2013? Wondering if it is the same weekend as fish the fish in whitefish MT. I was going to go this year but couldn’t make it. How many trailers ended up coming?
